Mike W. DiCorte, 76, of China Spring, entered through the Gates of Heaven to be with God on Tuesday, June 5, 2012, at his residence. Funeral services will be 1 p.m. Friday, June 8, at Lake Shore Funeral Home Chapel with Msgr. Mark Deering officiating. Burial will follow with military honors by the U.S. Navy at China Spring Cemetery. Visitation will be 6 to 8 p.m. Thursday, June 7, at Lake Shore Funeral Home, in Waco.

Mike was born in Waco, Texas, to the late Mike Frank and Angelina (Gladder) DiCorte and graduated from Waco High School in 1954. He served in the U.S. Navy from Sept. 9, 1954, to July 30, 1958. Mike married Dianne Glockzen on Aug. 28, 1975, in Coryell County. He was a very compassionate and giving man. He loved his family immensely. He also loved hunting, fishing and the outdoors. Mike owned and operated Mid-State Beverage Company in Waco for over 30 years. He also owned, operated and influenced many successful businesses. He was an advisor to many.

He was preceded in death by his father-in-law, Ed Glockzen.

Survivors include his loving wife of 36 years, Dianne, of China Spring; sons, Mike C. DiCorte and wife, Luci, of Crawford, Mark DiCorte and wife, Darla, of China Spring, David DiCorte and wife, Dina, of Moody, and Billy DiCorte and wife, Kelly, of China Spring; daughter, Kim Bassett, of China Spring; grandsons, Michael DiCorte and Billy Frank DiCorte; granddaughters, Jessica DiCorte, Ashlee DiCorte, Brandy DiCorte, Kristi Bassett and Kelli Bassett; step-granddaughter, Misty Burgess; brother, Frank J. DiCorte and wife, Pat, of China Spring; mother-in-law, Lillian Glockzen, of Waco; and numerous other relatives and many friends.
