James Wilson Ditto, Sr., of China Spring, a U.S. Postal Service delivery and collections supervisor, died Sunday in Waco. He was 49.

Mr. Ditto was born August 30, 1942 in China Spring and attended schools there and in Valley Mills. He graduated from Waco High School in 1961 and attended Delmar College. He worked for the U.S. Postal Services for 25 years.

He was a member and administrative council chairman of China Spring United Methodist Church, and was a member of George N. Denton Masonic Lodge No. 24 AF&AM, Scottish Rite and Karem Shrine Temple.

Survivors include his wife, Katherine Ditto; three sons, Jim W. Ditto, Jon Christopher Ditto and Clint Ditto, all of China Spring; sister, Peggy Simpson of China Spring; brother, B. L. Ditto of Orlando, Florida; and a granddaughter.
