William Roy Garner, 56,of China Spring, a plumber, died Friday at a local hospital.

Graveside services will be at 10 a.m. Monday at the China Spring Cemetery, the Rev. Randy Scott and Fidelis Masonic Lodge officiating.

The family will receive friends from 7 to 9 tonight at Connally-Compton West Waco Drive funeral home.

Mr. Garner was born Jan. 2, 1931, in Waco and was a plumber with Duff Engineering and Staas Plumbing.  He was a graduate of Waco High School and a member of Fidelis Lodge number 1127 AF & AM.

He is survived by his wife, Jackie Garner; his mother, Almeda Garner of Crawford; two daughters, Jan Wendland of China Spring and Tammie Sitton of San Antonio; two brothers, C. M. (Dub) Garner of Crawford and John Garner of China Spring; and three grandchildren.
