Funeral services for Emmett Garrett, 36, of China Spring, who died in a local hospital Sunday, were held at 4 p.m. Monday at China Spring Baptist Church, Rev. E. Floyd officiating, burial in China Spring Cemetery.

Surviving are three sons, Bobbie, Gene and Johnnie Emmett; daughter, Irene, all of China Spring; his parents, Dr. & Mrs. J. H. Garrett of Patrick; two sisters, Mrs. J.S. Watkins of Waco and Mrs. J. J. Talbert of China Spring; three brothers, Willie of Mart, Joe of Gholson and Johnny of China Spring.
