Kenneth Marce Kerr, 90, of China Spring, passed from this life November 13, 2016.
A graveside service will be held at 11 a.m., Wednesday, November 16, at China Spring Cemetery, with Rev. Mike Copeland officiating. Music will be provided by Mack Abernathy. Visitation with the family will be 4 to 6 p.m., Tuesday, November 15, at Wilkirson Hatch Bailey Funeral Home, 6101 Bosque Blvd, in Waco.
Kenneth was born April 10, 1926, in Clarksville, Texas, Red River County, to William Mason Kerr and Fleta Carrie Pierce Kerr. He joined the Army, August 9, 1944, during World War II. He was assigned to the 45th Division Infantry and served in the European Theater. His unit played a part in the Liberation of the Dachau Concentration Camp. He earned two Bronze Stars.
He was preceded in death by his parents; three brothers, Fenton Kerr, Dean Kerr and Marshall Kerr; and one sister, Wanona Privett.
Kenneth is survived by his wife, Tommie Welborn Kerr; two sons, Jimmie Kerr and wife, Peggy, and David Kerr and wife, Linda; two daughters, Janice Royle and Donna Sanders and husband, William. He is also survived by six grandsons, Dean Kerr, Duane Kerr, Brian Kerr, Gabe Kerr, Andy Royle and BeeJay Squires; six granddaughters, Aimee McMillan Tindell, Amanda Royle Squires, Ashley Royle, Stacy Kerr, Raley Kerr, and Jeannine Arnold; and eight great grandchildren; Briton Kerr, Cole Tindell, Kyle Tindell, Camron Tindell, Walker Squires, Katy Abby Squires, Alec Royle and Hannah Royle.
Pallbearers will be his grandsons, Dean Kerr, Duane Kerr, Brian Kerr, Gabe Kerr, Andy Royle, BeeJay Squires and Briton Kerr.
Honorary Pallbearers are Larry Dean, Raymond Henson, Connally Baugh, and all the coffee drinkers from the donut shop and Griffs.
