Monte Glynn Grayson, 43 of China Spring, lost his courageous battle with cancer at his residence on Monday, October 4, 2004.

Funeral services will be at 10 a.m. Friday, October 8 at First United Methodist Church, with Rev. Allen Grant officiating. Interment will follow at China Spring Cemetery.

Monte was born to Monte Don and Nelda Grayson on February 8, 1961 in Waco. He attended China Spring schools, where he played on the 1978 China Spring Cougars State Championship football ream. He graduated from Baylor University in 1983 with a degree in Business Administration. He was co-owner of Brazos Valley Dental Supply for the past 18 years. He married Denise Sodek Hosch on January 22, 1993. He was a member of First United Methodist Church of China Spring. Monte enjoyed hunting and was an avid fisherman. He has touched many lives and will be greatly missed.

Monte was preceded in death by his grandparents, Bitt and Muge Grayson, Clifford and Minnie Justice, and uncles Wayne and Duryl Justice.

He is survived by his wife, Denise Grayson of China Spring; parents, Monte Don and Nelda Grayson; son Matthew Scott Grayson; daughter, Carson Paige Hosch; aunt, Vonda Koster.
