Maggie Lee Gullion, 92, of Waco, passed away Monday, January 28, 2008. Services will be at 11 a.m., Saturday, February 2, at Wilkirson-Hatch-Bailey Chapel with Pastor Ernie Christie officiating. Burial will follow at China Spring Cemetery. Visitation will be from 6 to 8 p.m., Friday, February 1, at Wilkirson-Hatch-Bailey.

Maggie was born in Clarksville, Texas, to the late Louis Monroe Reed and Maggie Annie Reed. Maggie devoted most of her life to raising her children, being a fabulous cook, taking care of her home and being a devoted member of her church. In her early adulthood, during World War II, she worked in the bomb assembly plant at Lone Star Ordinance Depot. She later worked with her husband during his lifetime career of managing Piggly Wiggly stores. She was a lifetime faithful Christian who constantly studied her bible and lived each day in a Christ-like manner. She was a loyal and helpful friend to all, and a loving and giving mother and grandmother. All who knew her know Maggie was one of the kindest and sweetest souls ever born. She was a member of Lake Shore Church of Christ in Waco.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Sam Turner Gullion in 1985; four brothers; four sisters; and a grandson.

She is survived by her sons, Bill Gullion and wife, Diane, of Waco, and Stephen Gullion and wife, Liz, of Houston; grandchildren, Greg Gullion, Angela Blair, Stacy Gullion, LeAnn Goyco and Kristi Dean; and brother, Alvis Grayson and wife, Edna, of Odessa; and several nieces and nephews.
