W. F. (Bill) Haferkamp of China Spring, formerly a dairy farmer, died Monday at a Mart nursing home. He was 84.

Graveside services will be at 3 p.m. on Wednesday at China Spring Cemetery, the Rev. John Allman officiating.

Mr. Haferkamp was born December 22, 1908 in Riesel where he was reared and educated. He was a McLennan County resident all of his life. He married Murl Fentress on December 12, 1936, she died December 14,1984. He was a dairy farmer most of his life, but worked at Tusa Grocery on Dutton Avenue for 10 years. He retired in 1970. He was a member of St. Mark Lutheran Church in Waco.

Survivors include a son, David W. Haferkamp of China Spring; sister, Alma Ehlers of Riesel and a grandson.
