Marvin Haralson, Sr., 82 of Hewitt, passed away Wednesday May 4, 2005 in a Temple hospital. Private graveside services will be held at a later date.

Mr. Haralson was born January 24, 1923 in Waco, the son of Wesley and Robbie Young Haralson. He was a World War II Army Air Core veteran and married Delores Buice on May 24, 1942 in Waco. He was a deacon at Valley Mills Fist Baptist Church and worked with Retired Baptist men, building churches in Japan, Mexico and Idaho. He was a Mason and member of the Valley Mills John Armstrong Lodge. He retired from General Tire after 34 years and owned JAHILCO and CAAR Home Builders.

He was preceded in death by two brothers, Charles and Curtis Haralson and sister, Ruth Weber.

Survivors include his wife of 63 years, Delores Haralson; two daughter, Linda Gayle Haralson of Waco and Debra Sue Menefee of The Woodlands; two sons, Marvin Haralson, Jr. of Waco and Fred Haralson of Dallas; seven grandchildren.
