William C. (Willie) Harris, 50, of China Spring, died Monday in a Houston hospital.
Services will be 1 p.m. Thursday at China Spring United Methodist Church, the Rev. Matt Hall officiating.
Mr. Harris was born July 25, 1945 in Cameron. He attended school in Waco and graduated from Waco High School in 1963. He attended Texas Tech University and graduated from Baylor University in 1968 with a BBA degree. He married Edna Spring on Dec. 19, 1970 in Waco.
He was employed with Bill Harris General Tire Co. for 28 years and was employed with the Waco Tribune-Herald while in high school and college. He was a member of China Spring United Methodist Church where he served on the council. He was past president and member of Lambda Sigma Chi.
Survivors include his wife; parents, Bill and Iva Offield Harris of China Spring; daughter, Rebekah (Becky) Lynn Harris of China Spring; son, Will Harris of China Spring; an aunt and uncle, Ruby and Melvin Harris of China Spring.
