Beatrice Kay Harvey, 54, of Trinity, formerly of Waco, passed away Tuesday, April 24, 2012, at her residence. Funeral services will be 10 a.m., Friday, April 27, at Victorious Life Church in Waco with Pastor Kevin Harrison officiating. Burial will follow at China Spring Cemetery.

Beatrice was born in Hearne, Texas, to the late Buck Porter and Doris (Stubbs) Porter. She was a home maker, secretary, mental health counselor, corrections officer, and OTR truck driver. She had an Associate’s Degree in Mental Health and graduated with Honors. She helped develop and stage the play, “Stranger Danger” to help keep Waco elementary students safe. She was an awesome and creative artist and potter.

She was preceded in death by her brother, Eddie Porter.

Survivors include husband, Patrick Harvey, of Trinity; daughter, Jessica Ruiz and husband, Fabian, of Waco; grandsons, Anthony and Jacob Ruiz, of Waco; sisters, Linda Belanger and husband, Paul, of Austell, GA, Charlott Davis and husband, Jerry, of Denton, Dianne Porter-Welch and husband, Gary, of Bryan, Stacy Isgitt and husband, John, of College Station, and Tina Schultea and husband, John, of Spring; and numerous nephews, nieces, other family members and many friends.
