Heaven received another angel today with open arms. Glen E. Jaster, 37, died unexpectedly March 26, 2012, in Phoenix, Ariz. A graveside service officiated by Pastor Reed Justus, will be 11 a.m. Saturday, April 7, at the China Spring Cemetery.

Glen was born Aug. 30, 1974 in Waco, Texas, to Cheryl Buchanan Jaster. Glen’s birth father is deceased. Glen was later adopted by William “Billy” Jaster when Cheryl and Billy were married in 1977.

Glen was a graduate of China Spring High School in 1992. He joined the US Air Force soon after graduation. He was stationed in Omaha, Neb. where he worked in System Administration and network engineering while serving his country. After separating from the Air Force in 1996, Glen went to work for PKS in Omaha as a System Engineer Storage Manager. He transferred to Tempe, Ariz. with PKS. He later went to work for NetApp in 2003 as Professional Services Consultant until 2010. He became an Enterprise Infrastructure Architect for NetApp in 2010 until present.

Glen had many loves in his life. He was passionate about his job and was a very dedicated and caring employee. He was always eager to help his fellow co-workers whenever or wherever he happened to be. He loved fast cars (2011 Cobra Mustang), motorcycles, computers, drawing, brewing beer, and helping others.

He is survived by his wife Elizabeth Simchak of Phoenix, Ariz.; his mother Cheryl Jaster of Waco; his adopted father, Billy Jaster of Waco; his sister, Tamara Jaster of Ft. Worth who absolutely adored him; his grandparents, Glynn and Bobbie Buchanan of China Spring; and numerous aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces, nephews, and many many friends and co-workers.

The family is heartbroken and devastated. Glen you will be missed terribly!
