Mrs. Ellen F. Kirkland, 83, of Waco, died Wednesday at a local hospital.
Services will be at 11 a.m. Saturday at China Spring United Methodist Church, the Rev. Norman Suggs and the Rev. Delbert Taylor officiating. Burial will be in China Spring Cemetery.
Mrs. Kirkland was born Jan. 5, 1905 in Crawford and was a lifelong resident of the Waco area. She was a member of Church on the Rock.
Survivors include two daughters, Mrs. Lloyd (Frances) Stier of China Spring and Mrs. Kenneth R. (Jean) Brown of Georgetown; son, C.H. (Shorty) Kirkland, Jr of Lancaster, California; sister, Nettie Johnson of Austin; brother, Carl Jones of Abilene; six grandchildren; and two great-great-grandchildren.
