Leslie A. Kroll, 81, of China Spring, passed away Sunday, March 4, 2012, at an area hospital.

Services will be 10 a.m. Wednesday, March 7, at Lake Shore Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Mark Griffin officiating. Burial will follow at China Spring Cemetery. Visitation will be 6 to 8 p.m. Tuesday, March 6, at Lake Shore Funeral Home, 5201 Steinbeck Bend in Waco.

Leslie was born May 19, 1930, in Waco, to Gus and Annie (Hebbe) Kroll. He lived his entire life in the China Spring area. He married Bonnie Sue Toten on Aug. 11, 1951. Leslie and Bonnie were blessed with five boys. He was a member of the Ridin’ High Cowboy Church.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Bonnie; his parents; sisters, Mildred Belcher and Irene Nolan; and twin brothers, Herbert and Hermann Kroll.

Survivors include sons, Raymond and wife, Glenda, Ronald and wife, Theresa, and Alton and wife, Becky, all of China Spring, Glen and wife, Deidra, of Waco, and Tommy of Waco; 13 grandchildren; 21 great-grandchildren; brother, Leon Kroll and wife, Nadine, of Patrick; and numerous nieces and nephews.

Pallbearers will be Brandon Kroll, Josh Kroll, Clay Kroll, David Feind, Bud Owen and Ryan Robertson.

The family would like to acknowledge special thanks to Hillcrest Surgical ICU, Scott and White Continuous Care Hospital, and all of his friends at “The Table of Knowledge” at Griff’s.

Contributions in his honor may be made to Ridin’ High Cowboy Church or China Spring Cemetery.
