Glenn R. Mauer of China Spring, a retired accountant died Monday at his residence. He was 66.

Military graveside services will be 2:30 p.m. Wednesday at China Spring Cemetery, Chaplain John  Woods officiating.  Military services will be conducted by American Legion Post No. 121.

Mr. Mauer was born July 15, 1926, in Taft, and graduated from Cuero High School.  He earned undergraduate degrees from Texas A&M University and Texas A&I University.  He had lived in Waco since 1959.

Mr. Mauer was an accountant for Certain-Teed Corporation-Cameron Wholesale Division. He served during World War II and the Korean War in  both Maritime Service (U.S. Coast Guard), and the U. S.  Army.

He was a member of American Legion Post No. 121 and a Presbyterian.

Survivors include his wife, Joy Mauer; two sons, Michael G. Mauer of Elm Mott and Mark S. Mauer of Denver, Colo.; two sisters, Annette Pennington of Houston and Marjorie Reid of San Antonio; seven brothers, Charlie Mauer of Beaumont, Heywood Mauer of Cuero, Jackie Mauer and Carl Wayne Mauer, both of Port Lavaca, Ray Lauer of Lake Hills, Marion Mauer of  California and Tommy Mauer of Vidor; and two grandchildren.
