E. R. (Mack) McRae of Waco, a retired McLennan County employee, died Friday at his home.  He was 78.

Services will be 2 p.m. Monday at Oak Grove Baptist Church, the Rev. Don Bearden officiating.  Burial will be at China Spring Cemetery.

Mr. McRae was born Feb. 3, 1917, in Mosheim.  He married Mary McRae on Oct. 11, 1934.  He worked for Cameron-Mills for 17 years.  He retired from McLennan County in 1980.

Survivors include his wife; two sons, Albert Ray McRae of Fort Worth and Ervin McRae of China Spring; a daughter, Diane Mirick of Waco; a sister, DeBelle Sandlin of Lacy Lakeview; eight grandchildren; and eight great-grandchildren.

The family will receive visitors from 3 to 4:30 p.m. today at Connally/Compton West Waco Drive Funeral Home.
