Mahlon W. Monroe, 67, of Waco died Monday at a local hospital.
Services will be at 10 a.m. Wednesday at Wilkirson-Hatch Funeral Home Chapel, the Rev. Paul G. Smith officiating. Burial will be at China Spring Cemetery.
Mr. Monroe was born April 23, 1917 in Waco, where he was reared and educated. He was married to Lula B. Crawford on Aug. 27, 1940 in Waco. He was an Air Force Veteran of World War II. He owned and operated Monroe Body Shop for 12 years. He was president of China Spring Cemetery Association for 20 years. He was a Baptist.
Survivors include his wife, Lula Monroe; and one brother, A.C. Monroe, Sr. of Waco.
The family has been designated the China Spring Cemetery Association for memorials.
