W. L. (Webb) Robertson of Lorena, water department supervisor for the city of Hewitt for the past eight years, died Monday in a local hospital.  He was 53.  Graveside services will be at 11:30 a.m. Wednesday at China Spring Cemetery, the Rev. Bill Schibler and the Rev. Paul Smith officiating.

Mr. Roberrtson was born Jan. 2, 1940 in Comanche and was reared and educated in Bosqueville and China Spring.  He attended University High School.  He married Kay Cutbirth on Nov. 3, 1961.  He formerly worked for McLemore Construction Co.  He was a member of the Hewitt Volunteer Fire Department for the past 15 years and the Cedar Break Trail Ride and Caritas Trail Ride and Texas Water Utilities Association.

Survivors incldue his wife, two daughters, Glinda (Lynn) Beloat and Lori Ann Robertson, both of Lorena; a brother, Richard Gaylon Robertson of Albuquerque, N.M.; and two grandchildren.

The family has designated Hewitt Volunteer Fire Department or Caritas for memorials.
