Linda was born March 15, 1949 in Waco to Hershel Brock and Lucille Graves Brock. She married Thomas M. Sivils on Sep 5, 1978.

She belonged to the Church of Christ of Valley Mills for over 20 years. She dedicated her life to serving, helping and sharing her love of God by serving others in her community. She enjoyed giving of her time to the Valley Mills Care Center by encouraging others in prayer; by reading inspirational words of love; by bringing food and gifts while praying for their needs. She uplifted all those that were around her. She was always giving and volunteering her time at shelters, food banks and serving food to the needy.

She also embraced education, moral values and a strong spiritual faith towards all her children and those who knew her. She did not only teach us about education, but most importantly, she taught us about love. She is our mentor, our model and our Mom. She was the true essence of love and she will be missed.

She was preceded in death by her parents; and her son, Shannon Merritt.

Linda is survived by her husband, Thomas Sivils of Valley Mills; her daughters, Sonya Little and Stacy Gilliam; her sons, Shane Merritt and David Merritt; her sisters, Anne Calvert, Mary Hamilton, Lavon Tidwell, Betty Allen, Lois Merritt, Allie Hannah and Helen McNamara; and her grandchildren, Jordan Little, Aaron Little, Mallorie Little, Abigail Gilliam, Jerry Merritt, Daisha Merritt, Kali Merritt, Benjamin Merritt, Jonah Merritt and Nathan Merritt all whom called her Noni.

Pallbearers will be Jordan Little, Aaron Little, Jerry Merritt, Marty Merritt, Boyd Merritt and John McCarthy.
