Mrs. R. E. (Buddy) Thomas, 42, resident of China Spring most of her life, died suddenly at her home in China Spring at 1:15 p.m. Monday from a heart attack.

She is survived by her widower; one son, Carroll of Houston; her parents, Mr. and Mrs. D. T. Howle of China Spring; four brothers, Roy and John of Waco, Ray of Houston and Rex of Dallas; four sisters, Mrs. A. F. Avant of Austin, Mrs. Jesse Dodd of Phoenix, Ariz., Mrs. Aubry Warren of Waco, and Mrs. H. C. Barger, also of Waco.

Funeral services will be held Wednesday at 4 p.m. in the China Spring Baptist church with Rev. C. B. Harper, pastor, and Rev. Vernon Miles of Hillsboro officiating.  Burial will be in China Spring cemetery.

Pallbearers will be A. M. Humberson, T. W. Davis, E. L. Null, C. M. Talbert, C. W. Hicks and M. L. Crockett.
