Mrs. Roxie Lois Wade, 50, of China Spring died Saturday in a local hospital.

Services will be 2:30 p.m. Tuesday in the Connally Compton Downtown Chapel, Curtis Holland, Jake Riemenschneider and the Rev. J. Henry Brown offficiating.

Mrs. Wade, formerly, Lois Robinson, was born Feb. 26, 1931 in China Spring.  She attended China Spring schools and graduated from Waco High School and the Four C Business College.

She worked for Dr. Marion I. Carter for several years.  She had served as a teacher’s aide at China Spring for the last six years.  She married James Maurice Wade in 1954.  She was a member of First Baptist Church of China Spring.

Survivors include her husband; her mother, Mrs. Ona Robinson of 2716 Pine; a daughter, Miss Polly Wade of China Spring; a son, Greg Wade of China Spring; two sisters, Mrs. Howard (Margie) Nelson of China Spring and Mrs. Paul (Polly) Smith of Bellmead; and a brother James Robinson of China Spring.

Memorials may be made to the Shriner’s Crippled Children’s Hospital.

The family will be at 2716 Pine.
