O. D. Walker, 87 of Genoa died Wednesday November 22, 2000 at Genoa Community Hospital Long-term Care Center.

Services will be 10 a.m. Monday at BrookView Funeral Home in Waco, Texas with Brother Paul Smith officiating.

Mr. Walker was born on September 1913 in Billington, Texas. He married Oneida Clements on November 3, 1934. He was a farmer and rancher until 1971 and drove a school bus for 26 years. After being diagnosed with Alzheimer’s in 1995, he moved to Cedar Rapids to be near his daughter.

He was a charter member of Grace Baptist Church in China Spring, where he served as an usher from the 1950’s until 1996.

Survivors include his wife; three daughters, Mrs. Dave (Nelda) Wagner of Colome, SD, Mrs. Bill (Virginia) Kinkade of Cedar Rapids and Norma Walker of Lorena, Texas; six grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren; four step-grandchildren and six step great-grandchildren.
