Services for H. A. (Boots) Yankie of China Spring will be 2:30 p.m. today, June 3, 1992, at First Baptist Church of China Spring, the Rev. Earl Lanting and Rev. Paul G. Smith officiating. Burial will be in China Spring Cemetery.
Mr. Yankie died Monday in a local hospital. He was 76.
Mr. Yankie was born Oct. 28, 1915 in China Spring, where he lived all of his life. He attended schools in Erath and China Spring schools. He married Opal Anderson on Sept. 21, 1940 in Bosqueville.
He was a U.S. Army veteran of World War II and a member of First Baptist Church in China Spring.
Survivors include his wife; two daughters, Mrs. Lewis Sobhi (Gay Yankie) Sidarous of San Antonioe and Mrs. Hani Sobhi (Nancy Yankie) Sidarous of Waco; son, Wayne Anderson Yankie of Nashville, TN; brother, Leo A. Yankie of Waco; nine grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.
