George B. Talbert, 79, died at 2 p.m. Wednesday at his home in China Spring.  He had been a resident of that community for more than 50 years.

Mr. Talbert moved to China Spring from Alabama.

Funeral services were held Thursday at 2:30 p.m. at the Wilkirson-Hatch Chapel with Rev. C. E. Wade, pastor of China Spring Methodist Church officiating; burial in China Spring Cemetery.

Survivors include his widow; two sisters, Mrs. Dausie Metts of St. Petersburg, Fla., and Mrs. Elizabeth Jackson of Tuttle Spring, Ala.

Active pallbearers: George Walker, R. C. Burleson, Will Talbert, B. F. Eichelberger, Weldon Hunt, and R. A. Hafner of San Angelo.
