Admiral Dewey Smith, 89, of 3125 N. 19th St. died Saturday afternoon at a local hospital.  Graveside services will be at 1 p.m. today at China Spring Cemetery, with the Rev. W. G. Whitaker officiating.

Mr. Smith was born in Patton and grew up in China Spring.  He owned and operated an auto repair shop at his home for more than 50 years.

Survivors include a sister, Mrs. W. L. (Anice) Jenkins of Waco; and several nieces and nephews.
