Bertha Dillenburg, 104, of 400 Austin Ave., died Saturday at a local nursing home.

Graveside services will be at 11:30 a.m. Tuesday at China Spring Cemetery, Ernie Christie officiating.

Mrs. Dillenburg was born April 30, 1884 in China Spring where she attended school. She worked for several years at Waco Telephone Co., and married Walter Dillenburg in 1909. Mr. and Mrs. Dillenburg bought and managed the telephone companies at China Spring and Travis. Mr. Dillenburg died in 1973.

Mrs. Dillenburg moved to Washington, D.C. to work for the federal government at the Pentagon. She retired in 1953 and moved back to Waco. She was a member of the Church of Christ for 54 years. Currently she was a member of Lake Shore Church of Christ.

Survivors include four daughters, Opal Bridgewater of California, Lily Irene Morris of Venus, Janie Scott and Frieda Scott, both of Waco; son, Leonard Dillenburg of Smithville; sister, Laura Dell Peters of Waco; 21 grandchildren; and many great and great-great grandchildren.
