C. W. Peters, 65, long time resident of the China Spring community, died Tuesday morning at 8 o’clock at his residence, two miles from China Spring.

Funeral services were held Tuesday afternoon at 2:30 from the Baptist church, Rev. B. O. Herring officiating, burial being at the cemetery there.

Mr. Peters had lived in that community about 40 years.

He was preceded in death by two children, Bernard Hill Peters who died as a young child and Leona E. Peters who is buried in Patrick Cemetery.

He is survived by his wife, three sons and four daughters, the sons being: L. M. Peters, China Spring; Howard Peters, McGregor,  G.H. Peters, Dallas; Misses Laura Dell and Carrie Peters of Dallas; Mrs. Will (Fannie) Creech, Fort Worth; and Mrs. Walter (Bertha) Dillenberg, Travis.
