John Howard Garrett, 65 of Waco died Wednesday morning.

Funeral services were held at the Patrick Baptist Church Thursday at 3 p.m., Rev. Carl Jones officiating, burial in China Spring Cemetery.

Survivors: his widow, Irene Garrett; three sons, Joe Garrett, Willie Garrett and Johnny Garrett; daughters, Mr. Mary Etta Matkin of Waco and Mrs. Maurine Talbert of China Spring; three sisters, Mrs. Lizzie Brown, Mrs. Ruby Hill and Mrs. Ester Murphy, all of Waco; four brothers, Robert Garrett, Harper Garrett, Womack Garrett and Jim Garrett, all of Waco; 15 grandchildren.
