Funeral services for T. Dee Garrett, 80 of China Spring were at 2 p.m. today in China Spring Methodist Church, Rev. Richard Ivy and Rev. Paul Hopkins officiating, burial in China Spring Cemetery.

Mr. Garrett died Tuesday morning in a local hospital.

Mr. Garrett was born in Mt. Calm July 10, 1878. He moved to the China Spring community with his parents when he was a child and had lived in that community all his life.

He was a retired farmer and a member of the Methodist Church.

He married Miss Ella Adams on January 28, 1906 in China Spring.

Survivors include his wife; son, F. N. Garrett of Fort Worth; two daughters, Mrs. C. B. Harman of Waco and Mrs. J. W. Batts of Bryan; four grandchildren; two brothers, Roy Garrett and Andrew (Dinkie) Garrett; sister, Mrs. Carl Harris of Stepehnville.
