Hugh C. Burt, 55, died late Friday in Waco.

Funeral services will be at 10 a.m. Monday in Connally Funeral Chapel with Rev. Noel Guice officiating. Burial in China Spring Cemetery.

Mr. Burt was born in Erath and had live in and around Waco all his life. He was a disable veteran and had worked for the VA in Waco. He was a Baptist.

He served in World War II as a sergeant from March 1942 to October 1945. He was with the Company A, 393 special engineers service regiment. He served in the 90th Infantry with Gen. Patton. He was one of a few in a reconnaissance company surviving the Belgian Bulge. He received the EAME Campaign Medal with two bronze stars.

Survivors are three sisters, Mrs. H. H. Stagg of San Francisco, Mrs. R. H. McBride of Los Angeles, California, and Mrs. A. W. Londenberg of Houston; four brothers, J.A. Burt, O. J. Burt, B. B. Burt and C. A. Burt.
