Mrs. Zola Yankie, 86, a China Spring resident for almost 80 years, died Wednesday in a local hospital.

Services will be at 11:30 a.m. Friday at China Spring Baptist Church, the Rev. Paul Smith and the Rev. Bob Wimberly officiating.  Burial will be in China Spring Cemetery.

Mrs. Yankie attended school in Waco and China Spring and married G. L. Yankie in 1909.  He died in 1920.  She worked for Hawk and Buck Manufacturing Co. as a seamstress and was a member of China Spring Baptist Church.

Survivors include two sons, H. A. (Boots) Yankie of China Spring and Leo Yankie of 300 Topeka; two sisters, Mrs. Minnie Lee Morgan of Waco and Mrs. Alta Rogers of Grand Prairie; six grandchildren; and 10 great-grandchildren.
