Amy E. Arnold, 74, of China Spring, went to be with her Lord and Savior on Wednesday, January 18th.

Visitation: 6 to 8PM Friday, January 20th at Lake Shore Funeral Home, 5201 Steinbeck Bend in Waco.

Celebration of Life Service: Noon Saturday, January 21st at Columbus Avenue Baptist Church. The family will have a private interment at China Spring cemetery.

Amy was born August 23, 1942 in Abilene and was reared in Hamlin, Tulsa, Big Spring and Waco. She graduated from Waco High School in 1960. She then attended Texas Tech University, Howard Jr. College and University of Texas. She married her soul mate Charles Arnold, II on September 22, 1962 in Big Spring. Together, they lived in Austin, Monahans, Odessa for 19 years, and finally to China Spring in 1984. She was an active member of Columbus Avenue Baptist Church since 2002. Amy loved her family dearly. She was very involved in her children’s and grandchildren’s lives. She was also known as “Mama Arnold” and “Grandma Arnold” to countless others.

She was preceded in death by her father and stepmother, William Herschel Eyssen and Dorothy Eyssen; and mother, Martha Eileen (Kelly) Hillier.

Survivors include husband of 54 years, Charles Arnold, daughter, Andrea Anderson and husband Brian; son, Brennon Arnold and wife Kim; grandchildren, Ashli Kubista and husband Kyle, Jennifer Gibbs and husband Brandon, Michael Arnold and fiance’ K’Lee McKinney, and Stephen Arnold; great grandsons, Karson and Elias; sisters, Helen Eyssen, Lou Hocutt and husband Ken, and Martha Eyssen; and numerous other relatives.

In lieu of flowers, memorials should be made to South Texas Children’s Home.
