Bree Anne “Breezy” Breichner, 17, of Mart, passed away Friday, May 9, 2008. Services will be 11:30 a.m. Friday May 16, at Wilkirson-Hatch-Bailey Chapel with Pastor Jimmy Holleman officiating. Burial will follow at China Spring Cemetery. Visitation will be 6 to 8 p.m. Thursday, May 15, at Wilkirson-Hatch-Bailey Chapel.

Breezy was born in Waco, Texas, to Brian and Lenda Breichner. She was a junior at Bruceville-Eddy High School, having attended schools at Connally, China Spring and Mart. Bree played volleyball and basketball in both Mart and Bruceville-Eddy. She was a member of Mart First Baptist Church in Mart. Bree recently announced her engagement to James Preston Nolan.

She was preceded in death by her paternal grandfather, Joseph Mark Breichner, Sr., of Bruceville-Eddy; maternal grandparents, R.A. and Lorene Stranacher, of China Spring; and her uncle, James Highberg, of China Spring.

She is survived by her father, Brian Breichner, of Bruceville-Eddy; her mother and step-father, Lenda and John Daly, Sr., of Mart; brothers, David E. Ford, of Waco, Daniel L. Ford and wife, Tina, of Waco, Jeffrey A. Breichner, of Bruceville-Eddy, Gabriel Breichner, of Bellmead, and John C. Daly, Jr., of Lorena; grandmother, Irene Breichner, of Bruceville-Eddy; numerous aunts and uncles; two nieces; one nephew; and many dear friends.

Cause of Death: hit and run driver – she and her fiancé were walking on the side of the I-35 access road when they were struck from behind by a pick-up truck. Bree died at the scene and her fiancé is listed in critical condition.
