Coke Carpenter, 65, of China Spring, a longtime area farmer, died Monday at at Clifton hospital.
Services will be at 10 a.m. Wednesday at Wilkirson-Hatch Funeral Home Chapel, the Rev. Bob Wimberley officiating.
Mr. Carpenter was born in China Spring and attended schools there. He was a member of First Baptist Church and was married to Wynona Crawford in 1936.
He was a verteran of World War II and operated Carpenter’s Grocery at China Spring for several years.
Survivors include his wife; two sisters, Mrs. Ruby Saffle of Waco and Mrs. Attie Lee Gilliam of China Spring; and a brother, Addis Carpenter of China Spring.
