Alexander Chapman, 65, died at 8:20 a.m. Sunday at a local sanitarium after a prolonged illness.

Funeral services will be held at 4 p.m. Monday from the Methodist Church at China Spring, with Rev. C. E. Simpson officiating. Interment will be in China Spring Cemetery.

Mr. Chapman is survived by his widow and two daughters, Miss Anna Margaret Chapman and Miss Iris  Mathews, both of China Spring; sister, Mrs. Mildred Wilborn; two nieces, Misses Audrey and Dorothy Wilborn of Austin.

Mr. Chapman had for many years been engaged in the live stock and farming business.

Pallbearers will be: J. T. Willis, Willie Jablonoski, Milton Stroud, L. L. Kennedy, T. N. Curtain and J. D. Sherwood.

Honorary pallbearers will be J. M. Ellmore, Charlie Jarrell, John and Fennie Williams, T. D. Mabray, Charlie Hicks, G. F. Giddens, Conger Breedlove, R. B. Dupres and O. G. Sawyer.
