Garland K. (Jelly) Cunningham, 67, of Waco, a retired aircraft metal worker, died Thursday morning in a local hospital.

Funeral services will be at 2:30 p.m. Saturday in Wilkirson-Hatch Chapel, Rev. Kenneth Boatman and Rev. G. P. Comer officiating. Graveside services will be conducted by Waco Masonic Lodge No. 92 at China Spring Cemetery.

Mr. Cunningham was born in Gholson and attended China Spring schools. He married Miss Irene Cannon September 4, 1926.

He owned a drugstore and café in China Spring from 1927 to 1943 and then became an aircraft metal worker. He worked at Blackland Air Force Base in Waco, Corpus Christi Naval Air Station and Tinker Air Force Base. He retired in 1972.

Mr. Cunningham was a member of Waco Masonic Lodge No. 92 AF & AM and Herring Avenue United Methodist Church.

Survivors include his wife; one daughter, Mrs. Harvey Lanham of Corpus Christi; one sister, Mrs. Hazel Butler; one brother, H. B. Cunningham; seven grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.
