Mrs. Laura Davis, aged 61, died Friday night at 8 at the home of her daughter, Mrs. B. D. Giles,  China Springs.  The funeral took place Saturday afternoon at 4 from the Baptist church at China Springs, with the pastor, Rev. H. H. Staggs, officiating, interment being made in the cemetery at China Springs.

The active pallbearers were: L. M. Amos, Dee Conger, Ben Hill, J. H. Barnard G. A. Callaway, T. N. Curton.  Honorary:  Will Gorham, W. H. Foster, George Harris, Lee Jenkins, R. L. Talbert, O. R. Harvey, J. F. Giddens, Dr. R. E. Conger, D. B. Hill, Jeff Higginbotham, W. F. Maxwell, Bill Higginbotham, F. L. Johnson, Walter Chandler, D. T. Howle, James Carpenter, Rev. D. K. Smith.

Mrs. Davis had been living in the China Springs community for the last fourteen years.   Besides the daughter above named, she is survived by another daughter, Mrs. George Harris of Fort Worth, and five sons, Albert, Alfred, Owen and  T. W. Davis, China Springs; C. E. Davis, Hamlin.  She also has four brothers and three sisters in Georgia.
