Mrs. T.P. (Mary Marie) Garrett of Athens, formerly of China Spring, died Thursday at her home. She was 99.

Services will be 11:30 a.m. Monday at First Baptist Church of China Spring, the Rev. Earl Lanting officiating. Burial will be in China Spring Cemetery.

Mrs. Garrett was born December 22, 1893 in Groesbeck, and attended school in the area. She married T. P. Garrett, he died in 1985. She moved to Athens after her husband’s death. She was a member of First Baptist Church of China Spring.

Survivors include a niece, Ouida Taylor of Abilene.
