Robert D. (Jack) Gilliam, 58, of China Spring died Friday in a Waco hospital.
Services will be at 11:30 a.m. Monday at the Wilkirson-Hatch Funeral Home Chapel, the Rev. John Whitlatch and Curtis Holland officiating. Burial will be in China Spring Cemetery.
Mr. Gilliam was born Feb. 28, 1923 in Navarrol County. He moved to China Spring in 1941. He was in the contracting business in the Waco area for more than 30 years.
He was president of Gilliam Contractors Inc. at the time of his death. Mr. Gilliam was a charter member of the Grace Baptist Church in China Spring.
Survivors include his wife, Attie Lee Gilliam; his mother, Mrs. Deedie Gilliam of Houston; a daughter, Mrs. Claude (Becky) Lindsey of China Spring; a son, Dale Gilliam of China Spring; six sisters, Mrs. Faye Turner of Lott, Mrs. Bill Long of Corsicana, Mrs. Fred Smith and Mrs. Hubert Stiewart, both of Houston, Mrs. Betty Cox of Waxahachie and Mrs. Roy Bostick of Booneville, Miss.; two brothers, E. L. Gilliam of Corsicana and E.D. Gilliam of Houston; and two grandsons.
