Daughter of James A. and Leah M. Berry Fraker.

Melba Maurine Jenkins, age 84, passed away Monday, Sept. 27, 2004 at her residence in China Spring.

Funeral services will be 2:00 p.m. Thursday, Sept. 30 at the BrookView Funeral Home Chapel with Mr. Ernie Christie officiating. Visitation will be from 6 to 8 p.m. Wednesday.

Melba was born Sept. 27, 1920 to James A. and Leah M. Berry Fraker in Oberlin, Kansas. She was a member of the Church of Christ in Denver, Colorado since 1952. She moved to Colorado from Oberlin during WWII in the early 1940’s and retired from Data Documents after 20 years as a receptionist.

Her parents preceded her in death.

Survivors include two daughters, Susan and husband Jon Peitsmeyer of Texas; Sherri and husband John Flesner of Colorado; brothers, Robert Fraker of Oberlin, KS and Dennis Fraker of Denver; sisters, Fern Torrey of Denver, Phylis Bay of Arizona and Shirley Ott of Denver; 6 grandchildren, Christa, Ashley, John, Jordan, Travis and Marissa.
