Ima Light, 84, of Valley Mills, passed away on Monday, March 13, 2006. Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. on Wednesday at the Searsville Baptist Church. Interment will be at the China Spring Cemetery under the direction of Foss Funeral Home. Visitation will be from 6 to 7 p.m. Tuesday at the funeral home.

Ima was born in the Smith Bend-Coon Creek area of Bosque County, Texas, to the late Oscar and Florence (Hulme) Bradbury. On Oct. 22, 1938, she married to Crockett T. Light, in Clifton. Ima loved her family and always looked forward to family gatherings.

She was preceded in death by her husband in 1986; and a son, John David Light, in 1943.

Survivors include her daughters, Mildred Churchman and husband, Kenneth, of Hewitt, Florence Smith and husband, Lloyd, of Lorena, and Reba Yates and husband, Marvin, of Moody; sons, William Light and wife, Joyce, of Electra, Wayne Light and wife, Betty, of Clifton, and Brad Light and wife, Toni, of Valley Mills; 13 grandchildren; 14 great-grandchildren; two great-great-grandchildren; brothers, Gene Bradbury and Clayton Bradbury, both of Colorado City; sisters, Helen Gregory, of Big Springs, Liz Mays, of Sealey, May Dell Walker, of Colorado City; several nieces and nephews; along with many other family members and friends.
