Miriam V. Ringer, age 73, died Friday, February 6, 1998, at a local hospital.

Graveside services will be 10:00 a.m. Monday, February 9, 1998, at China Spring Cemetery with the Rev. Dan White officiating.

Mrs. Ringer was born in Thorndale, Texas on June 1, 1924, to Arthur B. Burkhart and Minnie Fred Sheppard. She grew up in Thorndale and Salado area.

She married B.F. Ringer, Jr. on July 17, 1948.

She worked for Woods Manufacturing in Waco. She resided 25 years in Dickinson, Texas and retired to China Spring, Texas in 1973, with her husband.

She was preceded in death by her husband, B.F. Ringer, and 3 brothers, Olin Burkhart, Lawson Burkhart and Aubrey Burkhart.

Survivors are her daughter, Jackie Ringer Davis and husband Jeff of China Spring; 2 sons, Ronald L. Ringer and wife Cathy of Port Lavaca, Texas, and Ricky L. Ringer and wife Rebecca of China Spring; 2 sisters Oma Thompson of Waco and Mildred Jones of Port Lavaca, Texas; 3 brothers, Printus Burkhart of Corpus Christi, Texas, and Billy H. Burkhart of Fort Worth, Texas; sister-in-law, Lorraine Burkhart of Dickinson, Texas; 8 grandchildren;and 2 great grandchildren.

Memorials may be made to Diabetes Association or Clifton Home Health Care.
