Samuel G. (Sam) Robertson of Marshall, formerly of Waco, died Thursday at a Marshall nursing home. He was 82.

Graveside services will be 10 a.m. Monday at China Spring Cemetery, the Rev. David Chaffin officiating.

Mr. Robertson was born Feb. 15, 1910, in Coryell County.  He was an Army veteran of World War II.  He worked at Cameron Mills and Downing Brothers Construction Company before retiring from Downing Brothers after 18 years.  he married Nautie Kirksey on Oct. 28, 1932; she died in 1968.  He married Lillie Garnder in 1973.  Mr. Robertson was a member of Bells Street Baptist Church in Marshall.

Suvivors inclue his wife; two sons, Richard Gayloon Robertson of Albuquerque, N.M. and W. L (Webo) Robertson of Lorena; three sisters, Werdna R. Williford of Bangs, Claudine Franks of Midland and Eva Mae Sibert of Comanche; a brother, John Robertson of Hillsboro; 12 grandchildren; and 23 great-grandchildren.

The family will receive visitors from 6 to 8 tonight at Wilkirson-Hatch Funeral Home.

Memorials may be made to the American Cancer Society.
