Larvis G. Sanders, 83, of Waco died Thursday.  Services will be  at 1:30 p.m. Monday, Dec. 21, 1998, at Wilkirson-Hatch-Bailey Chapel with Dr. Randy A. Hughes officiating.  Burial will follow at China Spring Cemetery.  Visitation will be from 2 to 4 p.m. Sunday at the funeral home.

Mr. Sanders was born in Crawford Oct. 20, 1915 and attended school there. He was a World War II Navy veteran.  He was a concrete contractor.  He was a member of the Emmanuel Baptist Church.  Two sisters and three brothers preceded him in death.  He had lived at the Valley Mills Care Center until his death.

Survivors include his step-mother, Dorothy Sanders of Waco; sons, Dale Sanders and wife Joyce of Waco and Kyle Sanders and wife Shirley of New Port, AR; sisters, Nadine Welborn of Waco, Mildred Stanford of Waco, Imogene Bass of Waco, Dorothy Karpinsky of Waco and Barbara Murphee of Valley Mills; brothers, Dorman Sanders of Valley Mills, Robert Hamill of Delaware and Johnny Hamill of Florida; five grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.
