Fieda Scott, 79, of Waco passed away at  her residence on Nov. 28, 1997.  Funeral services will be held 1:30 p.m. Tuesday, Dec. 2, 1997, at Lakeshore Church of Christ with Ernie Christie and Durwood Boggs officiating.  The family will receive visitors at Connally/Compton Funeral Home 6 to 8 p.m. Monday.

Fieda was  born to W. W. Dillenburg and Bertha Peters Dillenburg on May 29, 1918, in China Spring.

She was a member of Lakeshore Church of Christ.  She was active in Ladies Bible and World Bible Schools, and she was a good friend and mentor to Kenneth Brown of Waco.

She is survived by three daughters, Joy Strickland, Carolyn Hopkins and Barbara and Buz McCrary, all of Waco; sons, Johnnie and Gail Scott of Bakersfield, Calif. and James Lewis of Indianapolis, Ind.; sister Janie Scott of Waco; brother, Leonard Dillenburg of Austin; nieces, Peggy Duty and Phylis Jean; grandchildren; Paul and David Hill, Elizabeth Makovy, Viki Strickland, Laura Ann Turnbow, Lessie and Larry Sorrells Jr., Lynda Wilson, Lewis Sorrells, Kristy Brigham, John Sturdivant III, Randy and Alesha Sturdivant, Shelly James and David Scott; great-grandchildren, Lupe, Jon, Paul and Ashley Sanchez, Kaitlyn Strickland, Daniel Barrington, LeCarol Price, Joshua Bason, Zack King, Salsa Brigham, D. J. and Jonathan Pemberton and Jacob James.

Memorials may be made to World Bible School in c/o Lakeshore Church of Christ. A special thanks to Hillcrest Hospice and members of Lakeshore Church of Christ.
