Mrs. J. D. (Ione) Seago, 63, of 1911 Reuter, died Thursday afternoon in a local hospital.

Funeral services will  be at 2:30 p.m. Saturday at Herring Avenue Methodist Church with Rev. V. Cyrus Barcus officiating.   Burial will be in  China Spring Cemetery.

She was formerly Miss Ione Allison and was born at Fairy;  She was a graduate of Hamilton High School and was married to J. D. Seago, Nov. 17, 1924 at Fairy and organized the North Waco Produce Company in 1945.  They operated the business until 1960 when it was liquidated because of Mrs. Seago’s ill health.

Mrs. Seago was a member of Herring Avenue Methodist Church and was a life member of the WSCS of Herring Avenue Methodist Church.  She was a member of Eastern Star and Pythian Sisters.  She was also a member of Gardenia Garden Club and Waco Council of Gardens Club.

Survivors are her husband: her mother, Mrs. Mary Esther Allison of Waco; a daughter, Mrs. John B. (Scherry) Chapman of Georgetown; four sisters, Mrs. Guy C. Hartgrove of Bishop, Mrs. L. J. Patterson, Mrs. E. J. Getheimer of Fort Worth and Mrs. George M. Stringer of Crane; three brothers, D. E. Allison of Stephenville, W. W. Allison of Baytown, an T. E. Allison of Dublin; two grandchildren.
