Funeral services for Mrs. P. D. Smith, 89, of 1234 North Sixteenth Street, will be Tuesday at 10 a.m. at Wilkirson and Hatch Chapel with Rev. Herbert Polinard officiating and burial in China Spring Cemetery.

Mrs. Smith died Sunday at 7:10 p.m. in a local hospital.

She was born in China Spring.  She was daughter of the late Ben A. Ish and Elizabeth Eichelberger Ish, pioneer settlers of that community.  She moved with her family to Magnolia, Ark.  she married P. D. Smith there Feb. 19, 1889.

They moved back to China Spring in 1892, and Mr. Smith died there in 1936.  She moved to Waco in 1942 with her daughter, Mrs. E. L. Wallis at 1234 North Sixteenth Street.  shw was a member of Central Christian Church.

Survivors are three daughters, Mrs. Wallis of Waco, Mrs. William Hubbard of San Antonio, and Mrs. Cullen Crews of San Marcos; two sons, Ish Smith of 2905 Morrow Avenue and Al K. Smith of Chilton; a sister, Mrs. O. K. Wollord of 1521 Barnard Avenue; six grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren.
