Deen Stamper Sr., 93,  of 1010 Dallas, died Thursday night at his home.

Arrangements are pending at Wilkirson and Hatch Funeral Home.

Mr. Stamper was born May 12, 1887, in Bastrop.  He moved to Waco as a child and married Flossie Wiley in 1909.  She died in 1934.

He worked as a farmer and cattleman until retiring in 1965. He was a member of China Spring Baptist Church.

Survivors include one son, Deen Stampler, Jr. of 2405 Herring; one daughter, Mrs. E. S. (Louise) Blasinghame of Clifton; 10 grandchildren; 18 great-grandchildren; and  eight great-great grandchildren.
