Idas Doyle Summerlin, 71, of China Spring, a retired airplace mechanic, died Wednesday night in a local hospital.

Graveside services will be 10 a.m. today (May 1, 1981) at China Spring Cemetery, the Rev. Bob Wimberly officiating.

Mr. Summerlin was born Dec. 25, 1909 in Gatesville and attended school there. He moved to China Spring in 1934.  Mr. Summerlin was a member of China Spring Baptist, Masonic Lodge 1127 AF&AM and Woodmen of the World.

Survivors inlcude his sister, Mrs. Eunice Payne of China Spring; and a brother, Jack Summerlin of China Spring.

The family will be at the Summerlin home in China Spring.
