Virgil B. Summerlin, 72, of Route 3, China Spring, died at 11 a.m. Saturday in a local hospital..

Funeral services were held at 2:30 p.m. Tuesday at Connally Funeral Chapel with Rev. Paul Smith officiating, burial in China Spring Cemetery.

Survivors: his wife, Mrs. Ora Summerlin of China Spring; two sons, T. J. Summerlin of 2102 Reuter and Virgil Summerlin, Jr. , at Route 3, Waco; one daughter, Mrs. F. C. Clampitt of 1018 North Sixty-first Strteet; one sister, Mrs. Della Sherrillof 906 North Fifteenth; seven grandchilren and two great-grandchildren.

The family will be at 1018 North Sixty-first.
